Due to the heavy workload preparing for this year's trade show in Bath I haven't been able to get onto my blog and update as regularly as I would like to. I had to drop in today however to mention that I was contacted yesterday by a New York based blogger to say that one of my textile art brooches was featured on her 'HeartHandMade' Blog. This was a great honour and a lovely surprise-and what wonderful blog too! I will be adding this to my list of faves for sure, loads of interesting info and some beautiful items featured. Posts are a little sparse lately as I am busy preparing for a large trade show at the end of this month ( I am still going a bit cold when i look at the calendar and see how short the time is and how much there is still to do, so blogging has had to take a back seat lately!). I will be back on regular form again soon!

The grand opening of the new Avellana Crafts store in Mevagissey, Cornwall was just before the Easter break-if you ever have the opportunity to visit this beautiful picturesque fishing village, with it's quaint cobbled streets crammed with amazing shops and galleries then do make sure this is one of the stores that you visit! I am lucky enough to have work for sale through them myself and they also stick a huge array of cards,painting and jewellery-a truly lovely store!

A true work of art! Not for sale though, but I had to share our amazing Twig Woman sculpture created last week by my daughter and myself ( sorry about your lawn mum!) - it was a lovely relaxing way to make the most of a very early and surprisingly warm Spring afternoon!I'm so glad we could photograph it so it's preserved for all time!
