more messiness.....

There was a point (honestly) to my messiness with all that paint.....I have a plan for a future series of projects which I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about starting-hence all the busy fabric painting and dyeing in preparation, as I don't want to use fabrics that are commercially purchased as they are, I like every piece to be TOTALLY unique!
Oh...one other thing...there is a reason why artists shouldn't waste time creating beautifully painted nails, as paint seems to somehow chemically bond with polish and will NOT come off. I do try to plan it, but this messy look will have to stay for a few days, I'm far too busy making amazing painterly creations :)
More updates soon on new stuff upcoming!

I am delighted to have finished and sold this lovely painted fabric book entitled 'A Bird In The Hand'

Made from heavyweight cotton fabric this has been painted and decorated, then filled with sketchings and musing inspired by our feathered friends. Book measure ( approx) 33" long x 6" wide when fully opened out flat and approx 6" x 4" when folded closed, which makes it about 1" thick. It closes with a ribbon tie and is further embellished with a bead and feather tag on the top of the spine. There are sketches and drawings of all kinds of real and fantastical birds and the final page is decorated with a screen print out the rhyme 'Sing a Song of Sixpence'
