It's been quiet here in my little corner of blogland this week-this is one of the reason's why....a box filling slowly with flower pins for a gallery order ( only 8 more to finish,woohoo!)....also it's the start of the school hols, so much of my workload is dealt with in the evenings and I don't always get as much time for blogging and uploading photos as I would like! The first photo is a teeny section of all the beautiful entries! Well second place actually but that's pretty cool- all the local junior schools entered so she has done fantastically well out of all the scores of entries! These are snaps ( on my phone so not great) of Tilly's garden on display at the Town Hall this morning-I arrived just after they were all judged so this is hot news-I don't think she will know her result yet! WELL DONE TILLY! Lots of hard work went into this :0) xx

SORRY-THIS ITEM IS SOLD!! Original mixed media painting, using inks,acrylics and oil pastels on block gallery wrapped canvas. This piece is entitled 'Teasel~2' and measures 5" x 5" x 1+ 1/2" The work is lightly glazed with a soft gloss artist's varnish to seal and protect. Sides are fully painted as part of the work so a frame is not necessary. It is a beautifully subtle and calm piece,capturing a warm sunset atmosphere. I just had to share these!!! What a fun Sunday afternoon! My daughter,myself and my lovely artist friend Jan (of The Sunshine Studio,St Agnes-more details HERE ) all had the most fun you can ever have with a pile of dried twigs ( twigs had been stored in my cupboard for a year or so waiting for the right project!)and a luscious mix of fabrics,glue,beads,yarns,imagination and LAUGHS! My offering is the boobalicious babe on the left-any suggestions for a suitable name gladly welcomed ( leave them on my blog here as a comment if you will). She now perches in the window of my studio charming folks in and gracefully reminding me of a truly fun time....there may well be more of these beauties to come,she has sparked an inspiration! ...

Work includes one of my own hand made face cabs, inks,papers,altered wooden jigsaw piece and beautiful vintage chain embellishments.. Individual and unique addition to your art card collection! An ACEO is a small piece of art that can be defined by it's convenient 2.5 x 3.5 inch size. (Standard trading card size) ACEOs are VERY different from trading cards however, because they are CREATED and traded or sold by artists. All my ACEOs are absolute ORIGINAL pieces of art! (Some artists choose to sell prints of their work -'editions' ) ACEOs are created in any medium available in the art world. Artists are creating them in ALL kinds of styles and varieties. There are no rules limiting the artist, outside of the size dimensions....
