It's been such a busy time I haven't had chance to post much at all, but have lots of new work to share so will endeavour to catch up this week and thrill everyone with stacks of new art!! Poppy Heads is a new canvas painting, in mixed media, inks,oil,acrylic and graphite...soft and calming,it was real pleasure to create! Soon to be listed for sale, this is a sneak preview, taken with my phone at the studio, just a few moments after it was completed! Sides are painted soft matt black so a frame is not necessary and the painting is finished and sealed with a silky artist's soft-gloss varnish to complete. Vision is a mixed media painting on block gallery wrapped canvas measuring 10" x 10". Work was created using oil pastels, acrylics, inks, and graphite and is soft, dreamy and lightly whimsical in style. Silent Reflection is my latest new painting - I am so thrilled with this piece I could hardly bring myself to place it up for sale!.... However, needs must so here she is! A large mixed media piece on 20" x 28" gallery wrapped block canvas. Many layers and rich colours give this piece a gentle luminosity and an absorbing quality. Hidden amongst layers of inks,pastels and paints are beautiful ferns and tiny pressed petals, truly a work of many aspects and qualities! This mixed media canvas painting is entitled 'Tranquil' , measures 5" x 5" x 1+ 1/2" . The work is lightly glazed with a soft gloss artist's varnish to seal and protect. Sides are fully painted in a toning rich,creamy lime as part of the work so a frame is not necessary. A lovely calm little piece which would look adorable with any decor,vintage or contemporary.
