Wow, the wind is surely howling around the place her today! My studio is an attic space, so the rain and wind are very loud above my head,I'm glad is is draught-free and cosy in here! have a few snaps here of a piece I was working on last week-I am not very good at remembering to take - 'in progress' shots, so they are a bit disjointed,but you get a general idea of the process through these, I think :) She is finished now, so I look forward to sharing the rest of her story over the coming week!

Another glimpse at the weird stuff that sometimes appears inside my art journal. I love how the pages build over time and the book becomes stuffed and tactile!

A few pages from my art journal...my place to scribble,play,doodle,and generally have fun. I love how the texture and interest grows as the weeks go by almost as much as I love beginning a new journal!

I will take a break from sharing my sketchbooking efforts today to show you my 'Jollies' jacket. This is my latest sweater jacket and is available for sale HERE right now-one of my current faves,this is a real cosy beauty,with a mix of colours that make it wearable with just about anything-you won't want to take this one off!

I especially love scribbly pen sketches-nowhere to hide the mistakes,but that makes them even more fun!

I haven't shared any sketchbook or journalling pages for a while, so will endeavour to show a few this week...they are not perfect but often provide a stepping point for future work. I am SO enjoying painting again at last,after a period of grief and loss causing artist's block, I was unable to get 'in the zone',but I am finally now able to lose myself amongst inks and paints and create a colourful and comforting safe place to be as whimsical and dreamy as I like. *** sending my fondest gratitude to the fairy muse for returning to me after her break! :) *** Sorry for the rough picture quality, I seem to have blown up the camera charger so had to resort to using my phone ...!

I am sooooo enjoying my New Year treat to myself - I cannot recommend this course enough to anyone who enjoys journalling,mixed media,scrapbooking,doodling, or who simply wants to explore and play while learning art techniques and having fun!
