Taking a sidestep here from mixed media work, I return to some of my previous roots in fashion and figure drawing.I was lucky enough last week to attend a drop-in figure drawing class run by a fabulously enthusiastic local artist which was brilliantly inspiring and I produced a large amount of lively works during the short 2 hours that we were there. I will be posting some of those to my blog here shortly,(I have yet to upload them!) This work,however is rendered using ink and brush,worked on A3 paper (apprx 16" x 12") on ultra smooth white cartridge paper. I love the smooth,lively and bold effect of ink and brush work,but this definitely needs to be attempted on a 'confident' day, as it is also very unforgiving but highly enjoyable all the same! I have been so busy this month working on new stock. This is a small sample of my latest Treasure Box Designs. They are available in small (approx 6cm sq) medium (approx 9cmsq) amd large (approx 12cmsq) and can me made in colours of your choice. Some of my most popular designs include flower-topped boxes (embellished with a handmade chiffon 3d flower) and 'Autumnal' which includes hand dyed skeleton leaves and intricate metallic machine and hand embroidery. Prices start at just £18.50 (small). Each Sujati Treasure Box is entirely unique, luxury padded and beautifully lined using complementary fabrics. I will now be adding new designs to my etsy and ebay listings every week or you are welcome to request your own choice of fabric and design for a custom made piece at no extra charge! 'Phantom of Delight' is an original mixed media altered art style piece. It is created within the OSWOA format (Original Small Works Of Art) and measures 4" x 6", and is created on an altered postcard. Piece includes vintage image,inks,acrylics,dyed and stamped tags,lace and poetry (Wordsworth). The work is signed and dated on the reverse. Currently for sale in my etsy store CLICK HERE to visit!

This piece is entitled 'My Spirits Play!' . Design stamped and collaged images,acrylic paints,inks and dyed thread with brass eyelets. It is lightly glazed to finish and protect.
