I miss the sunshine! Here is a painting which I finished today-the crocuses appearing give me hope that it won't stay dull and damp forever and inspire me with thoughts of Spring sunshine.... This is the fisrt in a series of works with a Spring Season Theme which I am currently working on.Block canvas measure 4" x 6" and 1.5" deep(approx). Hand written quote around the edge of the design reads 'again the crocuses are ablaze,the soft spring wind is blowing' and the stem is collaged with pieces of real crocus leaf. I love the way these delicate flowers suddenly appear when the garden is at it's most dull and untidy! This piece is currently for sale in my ebay store where more photos can be seen... |
