2011 Sketchbook begins...


I thought since I was breaking out a brand shiny new sketchbook for a brand shiny new year I would personalise it immediately and kick off the first page with a picture of me!!


It's so important to draw or sketch at least once a day to keep the creative juices flowing-sometimes it's just an imaginary doodling,the next time it might be a detailed study of an object that inspires. Often, what I feel the inclination to draw is reflective of my mood or the kind of day I have had-this is when a sketchbook really comes to life for me, giving a point of focus for art journalling and becoming personally expressive,rather than simply a 'working out' kind of place ...
