I am delighted to be offering for sale this lovely fabric art album! It is filled with pockets and tags of handmade textile art goodies all with a beachy theme. This piece is so lavishly layered and embellished ! Includes eight embellished pages ( not including the outside covers which are also decorated of course!) of layered fabric collage which include lace,papers,real seashell,beads,glass, and stitchery, including my own hand dyed fabric and beads . The front cover is embellished with a fish design and fabric additions,just beautiful! Tons of details in this special tactile piece of art. I have been making the most of the wonderful sunny weather in Cornwall this week and got lots and lots of fabulous newly dyed fabrics to play with. My hands will,of course,be an odd shade of orangey pink for several days to come yet, but it was definitely worth it! Check out new fabric packs in my store now CLICK HERE TO VISIT!

This was a print made using my hand cut stamp and embellished with wax and paints. I love the effect of these bold black prints over painted papers... This is wonderful packing muslin that I have been saving for a special project,it has travelled all the way from India ( thank you Vicki-Sue) and was a perfect support for printing some funky feather designs on over the lovely stamps and scribbles-it also still smells slightly of nag champa-lush! Here we go... ( free tip-nail polish is a terrible idea with acrylic-I do use gloves at times, but often forget,so now have nails in luscious pink with lumpy purple and black splotches-suffering for my art perhaps?!) THIS I am really starting to really like! I feel new pieces of art blossoming in my mind already! Some new things to share with you tomorrow-lots happening here!

Just sharing a few of my results here....my hands remain a stubborn pattern of blues and pinks 3 days later,and I had to cut off all my nails, as they took up the various dyes beautifully!!- but it IS worth it and I now have some scrummy hot shades to work on this autumn. NOTHING I have ever used is more vibrant than acid dyes on silk fibers-is it just me that gets so excited to see the results I burn my fingers getting them out of the microwave too fast?! Can't wait to get working on these...and hope to have enough completed by the end of the week to enable me to offer some prime selections as inspiration packs in my store-watch this space!

I just had to share this work with you-she is a commissioned work,so not available, but was just completed this week and I almost wish now I could keep her with me a little longer! This is The Lady Amber. A fiber art doll,one of a kind around 13" tall in her (permanent) seated position. Textile work is a long and often fiddly process and I have had to put her aside at times to create other things,so the journey has been a couple of months from start to end, but I am pleased with the result! Sujati and Larry St Croix are working together on this project aiming to create an item of art that can be continually enjoyed. Sujati explores tactile as well as visual qualities within her work,the mood of each piece being defined using colour-subtle tones and contrasting textures developing intricate layers and Larry has a particular interest in 3-dimensional design and photography as well as image presentation,framing,mounting and other forms of image display.
