Kinda dull today, but still a VERY good place to be :) Vicki-Sue hard at work fitting out her studio with gorgeous works of art... Without the coffee machine nothing much would ever get done ! Topping up my handmade card display.... Cyclamen-beautiful! Keeping me company in the studio this week...

No entirely an art post today,but certainly photos worth sharing. My daughter (age 9) took these last month-she has her own camera and is keen to get her pictures exactly right,so clambered determinedly over a series of rocks to find the perfect spot to get her shots. The beach is Trevaunance cove,St.Agnes in Cornwall and is just a stone's throw from my art studio. An incredibly majestic scene on a day like this (taken in Feb) the scene will be a much more colourful and hectic one come July when the beach fills with surfers and families,the rockpools will be crowded with children in bright sunhats carrying colourful plastic nets and buckets. Whatever the time of year the cove has a magical atmosphere and I will never lack inspiration whilst lucky enough to be this close to the sea!

I SO LOVE my new studio unit ( well new-ish, I moved across from my original teeny one in December,so am still quite excited!)I finally remembered to take my camera with me last week,although,it was,as you will see,the wettest,dullest day i could have possibly chosen!! Never mind-there are always plenty of colours scattered across my easel and worktops, and in the second of the photos you can still just about see the sea-it's so close to the workshops but looks much more distant as the rain has kind of turned sea and sky to the same ambiguous shade of misty grey.... roll on springtime, I will update with happy blue-skied photos next time!

I looked out of my living room windows on Sunday evening and saw this amazing sight as the sun set-a perfect ball of orange against dusty blue sky. How inspiring! - it had to be shared!
