Wow, this Guy was a challenge! Large painting on panelled wood. I love how expressive the face of an owl can be!

A little late night painting to get this piece finished, I love the softness of this colour palette, this was a joy to create!

My latest offering ...this is 'Lady Vivienne' Art To Wear! Keep out the chills in this beautiful sweater jacket made from upcycled jersey. Funky ,full,swirly skirt,deep waistband and funky stripes make this piece truly stand out from the crowd! This jacket is for Med/Large Ladies size. (I am modelling in these photos and usually wear a generous size 14 UK and stand at 5'6" if that helps at all!) Jacket will fit approx up to bust 38",with waist up to 35". Waist to hem length is approx 26" Back of neck to hem approx 43" The front is closed and tied wrap-style so there is generous scope to adjust the fitting to suit your shape and the wide waistband sits from just below the bust for a flattering finish. The Ruby Robe. Red velvet bodice,cashmere,wools,even sequins in this beauty!! -wide hood that also sits as a beautiful shawl over the shoulder,zip and button closure, or wrap closed and tie with the hood up or down. Hood can be loosely slipped up as shown here,or coat can be wrapped up to the neckline and tied close for a really cosy fit! Size med/large,waist up to 38",bust up to 42". Length waist to hem approx 26",length shoulder to hem approx 49"... I am 5'6" if that helps too! One of my newest creations, this is 'The Poetess'. A mixed media painting on 4" x 6" deep block gallery wrapped canvas. Softly pensive, this piece has a lovely calm feeling and is finished with a double layer of artist's acrylic varnish. I am delighted to be offering this very special art doll here for sale. She is entitled 'SPIRITED' and is bedecked with mementoes and collectibles including vintage buttons,handmade tags,beautiful handmade flowers and wonderful lace and ribbon embellishments. A flower is tucked into her hat and her hair is hand dyed by me. I have also designed and created her face on soft cotton fabric ( colours are permanent and will not fade).... I do hope to find her a good home :) She stands around 18" tall and is firmly wired to a wooden stand for a sturdy base. Crammed with intricate detail this beauty is sure to fascinate you and anyone else you care to share her with for many hours! well, the weather is growing chillier and we are digging out those wintry layers here...how about spicing some of those dull days up with a splash of total funkiness in the form of the new gloves, all handmade by me, using recycled and new fabrics-each pair is entirely unique and original. These make a great gift item too, one size fits most ( ladies' that is-gents' styles are available on request!) and they are shipped wrapped and tagged so really look just the ticket! TRUTH  is one of my new art dolls recently completed using hand painted fabrics,inks,paints and stitch. Face is hand painted with permanent pigments and her body and wigs are lusciously padded. Hangs approx 38cm (15") - metal hanging hoop is already attached to the back for easy display! I love these, they are such a delight to create-I'm already brimming with further ideas for future characters! 'TRUTH' and some of her friends are available for sale and will be at exhibition during Henry Lloyd Falmouth Week, for exposedART on Events Square, Falmouth on Wednesday 11th August. More details to follow soon! Also-just for simplicity and to cut down on my time spent on admin at the computer, I have decided to combine both my textile/fiber art and mixed media work-paintings etc all onto this ,my main blog. I hope not to lose anybody on the way-please do check back often,I have lots of new work to share over the coming month!

It is the regulation ACEO size 2.5" x 3.5" and is presented on ultra-smooth bristol board white card. This design is an original pen and ink drawing with artist fine-line pen and professional artists' pencils and markers and plenty of TLC! This piece has also been sprayed with a light fixative for protection and longevity. What are ACEOs???? ACEO is the acronym for "Art Cards Editions and Originals". An ACEO is a small piece of art that can be defined by it's convenient 2.5 x 3.5 inch size. (Standard trading card size) ACEOs are VERY different from trading cards however, because they are CREATED and traded or sold by artists. All my ACEOs are absolute ORIGINAL pieces of art! (Some artists choose to sell prints of their work -'editions' ) ACEOs are created in any medium available in the art world. Artists are creating them in ALL kinds ...

This piece is entitled 'Teasel #4 ' and measures 12" x 6" x 1+ 1/2" The work is lightly glazed with a soft gloss artist's varnish to seal and protect. Sides are fully painted soft black as part of the work so a frame is not necessary. This is a wonderfully calm piece and would compliment any decor beautifully. Mixed media altered art paperbag album currently for sale in my store HERE . This is such a lovely inspiring work,packed with vintage images and tags but still with plenty of pockets and openings ready for you to add your own journalling and mementoes.Scrummy,tactile and appealing,this lovely work of altered art was NOT created from a kit,but designed and made by me using 3 altered ( unused!) kraft brown paper bags bound together with pretty checkered grosgrain ribbon.Ten pages,plus various large and small pockets,and front and back covers,all begging to be further embellished and decorated.
