This was a print made using my hand cut stamp and embellished with wax and paints. I love the effect of these bold black prints over painted papers... This is wonderful packing muslin that I have been saving for a special project,it has travelled all the way from India ( thank you Vicki-Sue) and was a perfect support for printing some funky feather designs on over the lovely stamps and scribbles-it also still smells slightly of nag champa-lush! Here we go... ( free tip-nail polish is a terrible idea with acrylic-I do use gloves at times, but often forget,so now have nails in luscious pink with lumpy purple and black splotches-suffering for my art perhaps?!) THIS I am really starting to really like! I feel new pieces of art blossoming in my mind already! Some new things to share with you tomorrow-lots happening here!

I am delighted to be offering for sale this lovely fabric art album. It is filled with pockets and tags of handmade textile art goodies. Entitled 'Sew Good' , the front cover is embellished with a pocket containing a tag inside embroidered with the book title. Inside there are a generous 12 (twelve) pages of layered fabric collage which includes lace,papers,many of my own hand dyed fabric,vintage images,beads and stitchery.Lots of pockets, filled with tags and stitchery, all celebrating the joy of sewing and stitch!Tons of details as always - the page may be a little slow to upload as I have taken LOADS of pics but not nearly enough to reflect all the goodies in this piece!! Sujati and Larry St Croix are working together on this project aiming to create an item of art that can be continually enjoyed. Sujati explores tactile as well as visual qualities within her work,the mood of each piece being defined using colour-subtle tones and contrasting textures developing intricate layers and Larry has a particular interest in 3-dimensional design and photography as well as image presentation,framing,mounting and other forms of image display. New Sujati Treasure Box design in softest misty green with wisps of lavendar,gorgeous shiny fibres, loads of beautiful beads, charms,stitchery,embroidery and threads. Further embellished with a delicately layered fused fabric green/brown flower on the lid, thickly padded and lined using a double layer of my own hand dyed cotton muslin in toning soft pale green.

'In The Twilight Shadows' is a painting on canvas,created in soft muddy browns and blues with a subtle sprinkling of teeny sequins,beads and french knots,hand stitched into the canvas, touches of copper and bronze, and painted polymer face cab. Canvas measures (APPROX) 10" x 10" and 1.5" deep. Sides are fully painted so the work is ready to hang without the need for a frame. Really stunning canvas,deep blue hues in the underpainting give a gentle warmth and depth beneath the taupes and copper browns- photos don't do the piece justice!
