Already,halfway into 2016!!!! It's been such a busy year so far and yet the 'to-do' list seems longer than ever. I am musing,making plans-including a rather hopeful plan for a little time out, although that won't be for a while yet, but it is nice to pencil in.... lots of ideas, the tough part is deciding where to go and what to do next so I can evolve my business the way I really WANT it to go-and boost my creativity tenfold to keep on moving forwards! Sigh... A thoughtful day...

I am so excited to be taking part in this year's Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge. Time is rushing by and we are now just a week away. I will be in a marquee space along with 5 other awesome designer/makers for the full 3 days Thurs 10th June, Fri 11th June and Saturday 12th June. Please come say hi if you are visiting the show, it really is an awesome event and a fab day out for all.

Such a busy year so far! I am busy preparing the studio displays for Cornwall Open Studios event at the end of this month. Artists all across Cornwall are throwing open the doors to their studios for the public and inviting folks to see into their work spaces and processes. The coffee will be on and visitors are most welcome to my humble space.Open Studios runs from 24th May until 3rd June this year... More info to follow shortly!

An awesome first day to the Cornwall Art Show. Fabulous art,fantastic buyers,awesome atmosphere....what more could you wish for?....Well maybe to go back and do it again Saturday and Sunday.....Can hardly wait!

It is just a few short days until the Cornwall Art Fair 2016. I am feeling terribly excited and just a little bit nervous too...please do pop along if you are near enough to St Ives over 22nd-24th April. The Guild Hall is in the centre of St Ives town and this is promising to be an amazing show with an incredible array of top quality artists one the ground floor and jewellery makers above. There is a children's activity corner with facepainting so very family-friendly AND a full bar with snacks available too.  There will be a private viewing evening 6pm to 9pm on the 22nd ( Friday). Please contact me for tickets-snacks and refreshments also will be served to VIP visitors whilst they browse and entry remains free of charge throughout. Back to basics with a ton of sketchbook work this week...here are a few samples,working in light,shade and value, facial angles and expressions.

* Title in progress...this may change as their story unfolds! Latest painting,introducing these two intriguing characters. More to follow as their story is only just beginning, I look forward to finding out more about these mysterious ,fierce and secretive females.

New mixed media piece on heavyweight paper...she was supposed to be very loose and only suggestive hut I couldn't help myself but to keep on adding more layers and details, and I am not 100% sure she is complete quite yet!

This is my #27/29 Faces for Feb 2016 challenge...because a battered old block of wood is too naked without a face! I love how she turned out, so quirky and very textural, this lady was super-fun !
